Second Term Results Day

We had our Second Terminal Examination result on Friday December 3. It is one of the essential days for SMDers because they get advice, feedback and the results of their hard work during this day. Parents are also invited for Results Day.

Moreover, students who tried their best are awarded a white scarf (khata) as encouragement. We had representatives from Thrangu Tara Abbey, and Thrangu Monastery School, SMD Director, our new Principal the Vice Principal as chief guests.

Our new Principal Lama Sangye Tsering, School Director Shirley Blair and our former principal Khenpo Chonyi Rangdrol spoke briefly about the importance of education for the Himalayan children, the purpose of the founding of SMD School by Venerable Thrangu Rinpoche and about his selfless commitment to the World.

As for the exam results, the overall school pass percentage was 81% and the failure % has decreased drastically in Tibetan. This is something where we all can take pride upon.
