Celebrating the Annual Sports Meet at SMD School
On January 17th, 2025, we celebrated our Annual Sports Meet, honored by the presence of Venerable Yonten Gyatso (Thrangu Rinpoche’s elder brother) and other distinguished guests.
Our students showcased their talents with a remarkable March-Past and an impressive aerobic dance led by Grade 9, forming the letters “SMD” and captivating the audience. Each house gave their best, competing fairly in races and games, demonstrating teamwork, hard work, and resilience.
We are proud to announce that Srongtsen House was named Best House of the Year, while Sagarmatha House (Blue) won the award for Best March-Past. Congratulations to all participants for their dedication and spirit!

The event began with a lively march-past by the school houses, led by the school band. The Sagarmatha (blue) House stood out and won the award for the best march-past.
